PLAE Perform Fuels Strength & Conditioning Coaches and Athletes with Education

WOODSTOCK, Ga. – Nov. 28, 2017 – To support strength & conditioning coaches and athletes worldwide, PLAE Perform delivers profile videos, educational seminars and workshops, targeted training sessions and informational blogs. Launched in August 2016, PLAE Perform is a unique division of PLAE that drives education in athletic performance.

“We are committed to fueling the dreams of athletes and coaches by providing credible, engaging resources, along with science-based training programs that are safe and community-oriented,” said internationally recognized strength & conditioning coach and bestselling author Ron McKeefery (Coach Mac), who directs PLAE Perform as vice president of performance and education for PLAE.

One of the most visible components of PLAE Perform is the Beyond the Chalk video series, in which Coach Mac interviews and shares insights from strength & conditioning coaches and other industry notables. Past episodes have highlighted Donnell Boucher, director of strength & conditioning at The Citadel; Craig Fitzgerald, head of strength & conditioning for the Houston Texans; and Scott Caufield, director of strength & conditioning at the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Created by strength coaches for their peers, PLAE Labs and xLabs are immersive, interactive workshops on specific sports or industry subjects that advance education and foster collaboration and community. Approved for CEUs by the NSCA and the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, past sessions have addressed swimming, explosive acceleration, program design, Olympic lifts and more. Currently, the 2018 schedule includes seven domestic and seven international events.

The PLAE Perform Institute, located on PLAE’s headquarters campus in Woodstock, Ga., provides practical application of the science and education behind human performance, presently hosting five distinct training programs for exercisers and athletes to achieve goals and optimize their abilities. Led by Coach Mac and other elite coaches, the workouts are designed for various levels in individual coach-led or small group sessions.

PLAE Perform also offers a blog featuring articles from industry experts on topics relevant to strength & conditioning, such as periodization and training female athletes, along with the Iron Game Chalk Talk weekly podcast hosted by Coach Mac.

“Because our mission at PLAE is to innovate solutions that help people achieve their best selves, PLAE Perform is a passionate, practical commitment to coaches and athletes to making this happen,” said Brett Waits, president of PLAE.
